How GRND GOLF handles what you give it. Last updated October 7, 2026.
What you play and record: your daily holes and weekly courses, your rounds and their scorecards, your shots, your practice, and your launch monitor readings when you use one.
Your account: your email address, the name you show, and the settings you chose. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and name from Google, and nothing else.
What you share: a share link holds the score and strip you chose to send, and we count when a link is opened, played and turned into an account, so we know sharing works.
We use all of it to run the game and to produce your statistics. We do not sell it, and we do not show your data to other members beyond the names and scores on the boards you play on.
When you play without an account, we keep your game in a guest record on our server and give your browser one cookie, grnd_guest, so it is yours the next time you come back. The cookie holds a key to that record and nothing else.
It lasts 90 days from your last visit. A guest record untouched for 90 days is deleted, with everything in it.
We do not fingerprint your device, and we use no advertising or tracking cookies.
When you sign in, two cookies keep you signed in on that device for up to a year: the session cookie and a device cookie. Logging out ends both.
We use your email address to sign you in: a code and a link when you ask for them. We send no newsletters or marketing.
Map imagery is USDA NAIP aerial photography (public domain), served from our own tile store. Email is sent through Resend. Google handles Google sign-in when you choose it. Payments for GRND Premium and GRND Unlimited go through Stripe: we never see or store your card. Each receives only what it needs to do that one job.
You can delete your account from your profile at any time. It removes your account and everything you recorded; your name is removed from anything that stays, such as a group you created.
You can also ask us to export or delete your data by email, and we will.
